It's Northwestival time: University District holds annual winter festival

Warm up to winter with University District’s annual winter outdoor festival. Northwestival promises to be packed full of family-friendly holiday surprises and all things that make the Northwest worth celebrating. Bring family, friends, and neighbours to celebrate the winter season.

A lively lineup of holiday surprises is planned for this year’s event:

  • Hockey shootout
  • Winter workshops
  • Live music, roaming performers and entertainment
  • S’mores and toasty firepits
  • Kangaroo cuddles
  • Cabane à sucre-making
  • Hot drink station
  • Frosty memories photo booth
  • Axe throwing

When: Sunday, Dec. 8, 2019
Time: 1 to 6 p.m.
Where: N.W. Commons Park, 4410 University Dr., N.W. (new location this year)
Admission:  An unopened jar of peanut butter, or other nut butter, to support I Can for Kids, Northwestival’s charity for 2019

Northwestival is a combination of free and token-based activities. Tokens can be purchased at the token booths located throughout the festival.
